A couple of questions! I am sensing you are like me, and thrive with a full plate? What is your secret to making it all come together? How about a few tips on laundry? Chores? Meal time?

Secondly, what has made your big, blended family work well together? Do you hit rough spots? What is your favorite thing about a large family?

lol, I thought the Alzheimer’s was a little far-fetched, along with Parkinson’s and a few others. The chances of a toddler or young child having any of those would be slim to none, right? But I guess it’s all just a formality. I just wish they made ALL parents go through this when having a child, even birth parents. I think it might just solve a lot of our country’s problems, especially in our welfare system.

Because adopting is a choice, it becomes a thousand choices about bridges that bio parents usually don’t have to cross until they get there. I have this image of you guys looking at an endless landscape of really overwhelming bridges. But it sounds like you’re more than well equipped to face them. Also, it seems unlikely that the kid you get will have Alzheimer’s.

Yes, it was a rather daunting list. And I can see why some people might look at that and either:

1. Think we are crazy.

2. Be scared off from ever considering doing what we are doing.
