My rating: 5 of 5 stars Most of the adoption books I have found deal more with either infant adoption or international adoption, or a combination of the two. I was so happy to start reading this one and find out it actually applied to us. My husband and I are currently in the process of becoming approved to adopt a child from the foster care system. I truly enjoyed reading this book, as it gave me some wonderful information and I learned a lot about the process and how it works. This book was well-written and very well-organized. While there was some material that addressed other types of adoption, we found the information on special needs and foster care adoption very useful to us as we make our way through the paperwork and process in our state. I highly recommend this to anyone considering adoption, or for those already in the adoption process. I plan on passing this book on to some of our family members to read, because it really gives some good insight as to what we will be going through, as well as providing relevant Scripture scattered throughout the book.
